The first 3 lessons (6 hours) will be spent on revising/reinforcing (old) basic grammar and expanding one’s vocabulary by going over a selection of excercises from chapter 7, 8, 9 and 10 of the book ‘Nederlands in Gang’. Emphasis is placed on improving fluency in speaking and expanding vocabulary. Learning about the Dutch culture also plays a part in this course.

The following 9 lessons(18 hours) will be used for exploring the themes ‘At a birthday’, ‘Visiting a Convention centre’,’Visiting friends’, ‘Using public transport’,’Enjoying a train ride’, ‘Going to the cinema’,’Phoning a helpdesk’,’At the cinema’,’At the police station’. There will be new vocabulary and new grammatical structures.

Special attention will be given to speaking skills by using the “speaking skills cards” and “Taaltempo”.

For practicing one’s listening skills the dialogues of the book on CD and films/songs on the website (You Tube) of ‘Nederlands in gang’ will be used.

Group size: 4-10 students. It is possible to enroll for a course after it has started. Students might however need to have a number of private ‘catch-up’ lessons before they can join the course.
