STAP subsidy
As of March 1, 2022, everyone 18 years and older can apply for the STAP subsidy at the UWV. There are a few requirements: You must have a link with the Dutch labour market, you have Dutch or European nationality; you are either employed or looking for work. You are also eligible if you have your own business.
On the basis of our CEDEO quality mark, participants to Kickstart School courses are allowed to qualify for a maximum of € 1.000,- STAP-subsidy per year, provided that they meet the STAP-criteria. You can also choose to add to the training budget that is made available by your employer or you can pay an additional sum yourself.
This amount is meant to further develop yourself and strengthen your position on the labour market now or in the future. It is worth mentioning that the STAP budget of 200 million is made available in instalments. It is therefore not the case that on 2 March the entire year's budget will be exhausted. Precisely because the budget is made available in instalments every two months, it is also possible to claim the subsidy in the months after 1 March.
Since DUO will not have the IT infrastructure ready to display our course offerings until May, Kickstart students will only be able to make use of the STAP subsidy for the course offerings from September.
We will announce the exact details of how to use your STAP budget with Kickstart School once more is known. Keep you eyes on our social media and website and contact us if you have any questions.
If you want to apply for the budget from September; apply for the subsidy up to and including October and start the lessons in November at the latest.
If you want to apply for the budget from November; apply for the subsidy until December and start the lessons in January at the latest.
