Submission Requirements
Please include the following:
- Your soup recipe – ingredients and step-by-step instructions
- Your story – the meaning, memory, or personal connection behind the dish
- The origin – culture, country, or tradition the recipe comes from
- A photo – your finished soup or supporting images
Competition Period
- Submission deadline: Thursday, 1 October 2026 at 23:59 CET
- All entries must be submitted before the deadline to be eligible
- Late submissions will not be considered
After the closing date, all eligible entries will be reviewed as part of the selection process.
Winners will be announced in October 2026.
What Happens Next
After the submission deadline, all entries will go through a multi-stage selection process:
- Up to 25 recipes will be selected for inclusion in the printed Kickstart Jubilee Cookbook
- All eligible submissions will be included in the digital community cookbook
- A local chef will review the 25 selected recipes and choose three final winners
- The chef’s top-selected soup will be prepared and served at the Kickstart Jubilee Celebration on Friday, 6 November 2026
Prizes
Three winners will receive one of the following prize packages (selected in order of placement):
- One General Language Group Course (valued at €420)
- One Support Course Package (Bootcamp I & II or Conversation Course, valued up to €210)
- One Private Lesson Package (valued at €140)
The first-selected winner chooses first, the second chooses from the remaining prizes, and the third receives the final package.
If a selected course exceeds the prize value, the difference must be paid by the participant.
Terms & Conditions
- The competition is open to current and former Kickstart School students aged 18 years or older.
- Employees of Kickstart School and their immediate family members are not eligible to participate.
- Participants must meet the entry requirements specified for the individual competition.
Entries must:
- Be the participant’s own original work.
- Comply with the specific requirements of the relevant competition.
- Not contain offensive, discriminatory, illegal, or inappropriate content.
- Respect the privacy and rights of others.
Participants are responsible for obtaining permission from anyone featured in, mentioned in, or contributing to their submission.
- Prizes cannot be exchanged for cash.
- Prizes may be transferred to a family member or friend with prior approval from Kickstart School.
- Unless otherwise stated, prizes must be used within 12 months of the competition closing date.
- Kickstart School reserves the right to substitute a prize with an alternative of equal value if necessary.
Winners will be contacted using the contact details provided in the submission form. If a winner does not respond within 7 days, Kickstart School reserves the right to select an alternative winner.
Participants retain ownership of their submitted content.
By entering the competition, participants grant Kickstart School a non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to share, repost, publish, and promote their submissions on Kickstart School’s website, social media channels, newsletters, and other marketing materials related to Kickstart School and its activities.
Any personal data collected during the competition will be used solely for administering the competition, communicating with participants, and awarding prizes, in accordance with applicable privacy laws.
- Kickstart School reserves the right to disqualify entries that do not comply with these Terms & Conditions.
- Kickstart School is not responsible for technical issues, delays, lost submissions, or circumstances beyond its reasonable control that may affect participation in the competition.
- This competition is not sponsored, endorsed, administered by, or associated with Instagram, Facebook, or any other social media platform.
- By participating, entrants agree to these Terms & Conditions.
