Boost Your Dutch Speaking Skills in a Fun, Guided, and Interactive Way!
Are you at B1 to B2 level in Dutch and ready to become a more confident and natural speaker? Conversation Café II is designed to help you move beyond the classroom and communicate with greater ease in everyday situations.
Each lesson combines interactive discussions with a targeted review of key grammar points, helping you strengthen both your accuracy and fluency. You will receive personalised feedback from your teacher while taking part in engaging conversations on a variety of topics in a relaxed and encouraging environment. There is minimal homework for this course, but you should expect to spend approximately 30 minutes on homework each week.
What Happens in Class?
Each lesson is designed to help you express yourself more naturally, participate in more detailed conversations, and build confidence in using Dutch in real-life situations.
The activities will vary from week to week and are adapted to the needs, interests, and level of the group. Lessons are interactive and practical, and may include:
- Pair work and group discussions to encourage natural communication and help you express your ideas more fluently.
- Guided conversations with teacher feedback to help improve your accuracy and confidence when speaking.
- Listening activities, such as watching in-depth interviews, to develop your comprehension and expand your vocabulary.
- Grammar explanations, exercises, and practice activities to reinforce important structures and help you use grammar more naturally.
- Short presentations and speaking tasks to help you organise your thoughts and communicate clearly in Dutch.
The course focuses mainly on conversation, with approximately 80% speaking practice and 20% grammar. You will have many opportunities to share your ideas, try out new language, receive helpful feedback, and continue developing your confidence in a supportive learning environment.
