Are you at an A2-B1 level in Dutch and want more opportunities to practise speaking? Conversation Café I is a great next step. This course bridges the gap between structured language lessons and everyday conversations, helping you use Dutch more naturally and with greater ease.
Through interactive activities and role-play, you will automate your vocabulary, improve grammatical accuracy, receive constructive feedback and develop greater fluency/accuracy in a relaxed and supportive setting. The focus is on practical communication, giving you plenty of opportunities to participate in meaningful conversations. No homework required!

What Happens in Class?
Every lesson is interactive, practical, and designed to help you communicate more confidently in Dutch. Depending on the group, activities vary from week to week and may include:
- Speaking games and language challenges.
- Storytelling activities to improve pronunciation, accuracy, and confidence.
- Role plays based on everyday situations, practising real-life conversations.
- Collaborative tasks and problem-solving assignments to complete with classmates.
- Group discussions where you can share opinions and practise using new vocabulary.
- Paired and small group discussions to build fluency and encourage natural communication.
- Interviews and question-and-answer activities to develop listening and speaking skills.
- Practical grammar exercises and drills to internalise grammatical patterns.
- Optional short presentations to help you organise your ideas and express yourself clearly in Dutch.

- Songs that reinforce pronunciation, vocabulary, and rhythm in the language.
Every class offers plenty of opportunities to speak, make mistakes, receive guidance, and gradually become more fluent in a supportive and encouraging environment.
